What is a sponsor?
As a child sponsor, you will be a partner with the child’s parent or guardian in sending a Kenyan child to a Christian school. As a sponsor, you are offering hope to a child and helping him/her get an education that he might not otherwise have. This will be a tool to lift him out of poverty and provide hope for life.

How does Springs of Africa Child Sponsorship work?
After you select to sponsor one of our needy children (see the “Children to Sponsor” page), your donation of $30 per month is used to provide education in a Christian school, food through the feeding program at school, uniform, books and school supplies. You will receive a letter from your child at least twice a year, a fresh photograph of your child annually, and a written report on your child from our social worker every six months.
-
What is the cost of sponsorship?
$1 a day or $30 a month.
-
If I Subscribe to Sponsorship through Paypal, how will you know which child I wish to sponsor?
The subscribe buttons are unique to each child so that you don't have to tell us which child you've chosen. Simply use that child's subscription button to sponsor them.
-
What do my sponsorship funds provide?
Your donation of $30 a day provides your child a uniform, food and education in a Christian school. A local social worker will work in partnership with your child’s teachers to ensure that he or she is receiving adequate care both at home and in school. The administrative fees for this oversight are also provided through your monthly donation. Any extra funds are pooled with those of other child sponsors to be used for medical emergencies or other extraordinary needs of children in the Springs of Africa child sponsorship program.
-
How long will I need to sponsor a child?
Sponsors are encouraged to make a commitment to their child through elementary school (Grade 8). (Options will also be available for secondary school education when a sponsored child reaches that level.) If you need to discontinue sponsorship, we encourage you to let us know as early as possible so that we can seek for another sponsor to ensure that the child’s education will not be disrupted. NOTE - Paypal Sponsorship Buttons are for 12 month increments allowing you to re-subscribe each year.
-
What makes this sponsorship program different from others?
With the Springs of Africa sponsorship, your child will receive a CHRISTIAN-BASED EDUCATION. Our social worker(s) maintain a relationship with the children we sponsor. The social worker will be sure to pray with your child whenever they meet together, and provide spiritual support for the child’s family as well. This does more than provide an education, it provides spiritual support and HOPE FOR THE FUTURE for an entire family.
-
Can I communicate with the child I sponsor?
YES, communication is encouraged. Send all letters directly to the Springs of Africa office, P.O. Box 28721, Nairobi 00200, Kenya.
